A blend of three parcels from the north to the south of the Adelaide Hills region, this has a ripe tropical-fruit nose with melon and passion fruit, as well as papaya. The palate has a dry, fresh and crisp feel with fine lime and some tropical-fruit notes built into the finish. Drink now.

Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc in 2020 is a real hit or miss affair. The baking Summer and bushfires hit the region hard and some wines suffered, but not this one which is a beautifully pitched Summer white. It is pale in colour and vibrant with attractive tropical fruit aromas plus just a touch of the local green herbs. It is then very approachable with generous flavour plus more reserved acidity, which will win many fans. Layers of citrus and passionfruit are underpinned by a fine line of acidity that provides a lingering finish. It is a crowd pleasing Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc that can be found around town at a bargain price. Drink it chilled with potato salad. Drink 2020 – 2022.

90 points - Tyson Stelzer - 2022 Halliday Wine Companion – 03/08/2021

Bang-for-buck sauvignon exploding with the full spectrum of personality from green peas to passionfruit, centring squarely (and rightly) on vibrant lemon and lime. The concentration and tension that defines 2020 is exemplified here, holding impressive concentration and drive through a long, refreshing finish. Party ready!

Plenty to like about this wine, not least for the many who gravitate towards Adelaide Hills sauvignon blanc. Pretty much all the descriptors you’d like to see are here; vibrant, snapping fresh aromas of nectarine, nettle and passionfruit. Juicy flavour, just a hint of fruit sweetness, and crisp acidity that does its job without imposing itself. Ticks the boxes.

92 Points – Tony Keys - The Key Report – 01/02/2016

“Has all the zip and zap that fans of NZ sauvignon blanc love, so should be a big hit and bring people back to drinking home-grown product. 92 points and worth $18”

Best of the Best - 10 Best Value White Wines - Peter Forrestal - Money Magazine – 01/12/2015

“Here’s a small family winery producing an exciting range of wines thanks to winemaker Phil Lehmann’s flair. This regional blend from the cool Adelaide Hills will entice with floral aromas and satisfy with juicy, sweet pea and tropical flavours balanced by its crisp, clean finish.”

93 Points – Rob Geddes – 01/11/2015

“Appealing and in the zone of passionfruit and tropicals with a freshness to the aromas. In the mouth, a slick wine with passionfruit that edges into white peach and lychee. A lot of middle palate flavour complexity and good concentration to the well made and well grown fruit from the vineyard.”
